Shorewood WI Super Week day 6
International Cycling Classic
aka Super Week day 6 of 7
When a team comes together it's a beautiful site to watch, a beautiful ride to experience.
Hub Racing put in its best team race ever today on the streets of Shorewood. It started and ended with a single goal. 6 racers of 1 mind. Put Hub Racing on the podium at the International Cycling Classic.
With Hub Racing's sprinter Jenette Williams ailing, the team rode to control the race and drag her to the line. Beca Jones brought back the early break attempts. Then Krystal Jeffs kept the race in check. Dale Tye and Leeanne Manderson came to the front next and dominated the bulk of the race. Nothing was going away with the kiwi and aussie duo in charge. Becky Broeder would escort Hub Racing's sprinter into the final lap. Then J-dub finished the job with a 5th place finish.
The placing isn't what's important here. It's the points to the omnium. With one race left:
Kelly Benjamin - Cheerwine - 165
Amanda Eaken - Meteomint - 124
Jenette Williams - Hub Racing - 123
Catherine Powers - Aaron's - 106
One more race.
