Super Week day 3
Hub Racing worked its tails off today. One goal. Keep Jenette Williams in the hunt for the omnium. Get her up the hill. Another 10 mile lap. Get her up the hill. 5 times around. Get her to the finish.
First it was Hub Racing's Beca Jones battling her ailing stomach, followed on the next lap by Dale Tye and then Leeanne Manderson. One by one, the Hub Racing women sacrificed themselves for the mighty J-dub until only Becky Broeder remained to escort Jenette up the tortuous climb. Then even Becky came off.
With only a select few of the best women racers coming to the finish, Jenette didn't think she would have a sprint left in her.
But Becky clawed her way back into the lead group and lead J-dub into the sprint for 3rd place: another podium! Becky held on for 19th herself making the money! J-dub moves into 2nd in the overall omnium! Gotta love Super Week.
