as many of you know, hub racing's sheba farrin was quite
ill at the rfk crit on sunday. (she's feeling much better
now).

the cause was a stomach virus contracted from her baby.
several other immediate family and friends have now also
become ill. those that have become ill have all had
multiple consistent intimate contact with sheba, her baby,
or another family member while they were ill. no one else
on hub racing's team or staff have become ill, including
those that stayed at sheba's house on saturday night.

symptoms include severe stomach cramps followed by
aggressive vommiting which leads to dehydration. so far
only sheba has had to go to the hospital (partially a
result of racing while ill). the doctor's advice of
treatment was bedrest and fluids. the virus appears to last
for 24-48 hours.

if you become ill and vomiiting persists, please see a
doctor and contact us immediately.
