Sherman Health Elgin Cycling Classic

another solid day for the hub racing women: 4 in the money,
5
in the gc points, and great control throughout the race.

colavita wanted to break away on the climb to seperate from
the field to give themselves an easy ride. but the hub
racing orange caught their wheels every time. when the big
break went with 2 colavitas including the yellow jersey
with 3 of the 12 laps to go, hub's amy mcguire latched on,
and elizabeth morse hill brought it back for the team.
colavita wanted to go again on the last lap but hub's liz
leyden once again spoiled their plans getting the jump and
the gap the last time up the hill. it would all come down
to the sprint, and once again colavita dominated taking the
top 2. but the yellow jersey switched as jennifer purcell
came across 5th with NICKY WANGSGARD winning the day and
taking yellow. hub's amy mcguire followed right behind in
4th and elizabth in 11th, maintaining the closeness at the
top of the gc. the question: can colavita sprint like this
for 2 weeks or can hub push them into eventual sumbmission?
one thing is for sure, hub's gonna kepp coming.
