Schlitz Park - Endeavour Cycling Challenge

the 2nd week opened up with a hill and rain. as the rain
poured down on the women racers, riders took off up the
hill and broke away from the field. with most of the gc
riders settled into the peleton for the day, 3 riders and
then 4 more made their way up the road. this nuetralized
the points sprints as the top red jersey contenders all sat
back. the first 3 attackers would lap the field, and SYDNEY
BROWN of MERCY CYCLING TEAM would eventually come off the
front again at the end to claim the day's victory. then
hub's sally annis initiated another break late in the race
and the yellow jersey had to mark her. sally would take 7th
on the day just ahead of nikki wangsgard in yellow. with
groups spread all over the 1 mile course, it was hard for
the racers to tell what they were sprinting for at the
finish. but the train got together and the hub women came
around the red jersey at the line for 11th and 12th with
sheba and elizabeth and amy right behind in 15th.

safely through the rain and the halfway mark in the series,
hub now sets its eyes on the final gc run.
